Women Scholarship for Peace

The Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (DNP) Education Partnership coordinated by UNODA in Vienna is pleased to announce the first Women Scholarship for Peace: Global South Training Courses for Middle East, Africa and Asia/Pacific starting in October 2016.

The training courses focus on disarmament, non-proliferation and development-related issues through on-line and in-person classes. The educational modules have been developed by the DNP Education partners, delivering to students first-hand information from some major international organisations, including the CTBTO, IAEA, OPCW and UNIDO.

A total of 140 full scholarships are available for women between 22-32 years of age from the Global South to travel to the regional training course locations. Participants will obtain a certificate from the UN mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) and may apply for a Diploma with University credits.

For details and application visit www.dnpeducation.org: deadline for applications 31 August 2016.
