WINS and NIA Partner to Promote Nuclear Security

WINS is pleased to announce a new MoU with the UK’s Nuclear Industry Association (NIA).

The two organisations will work together to promote wider awareness and understanding of nuclear security issues related to the nuclear industry.

“This partnership will help to broaden our engagement with companies throughout the nuclear supply chain to promote training and share best practices for nuclear security, particularly the critical and dynamic area of cybersecurity,” said WINS Executive Director Lars van Dassen.

“Nuclear security, and especially cybersecurity, is critical to NIA member companies. The relationship with WINS will help ensure that NIA member companies can benefit from the latest information and world-leading expertise as the sector continues to grow and develop, both in the UK and internationally,” said Tom Greatrex, Chief Executive of the NIA.

The agreement will facilitate collaboration between WINS and the NIA on joint research and events, as well as information exchange and promotion of opportunities relevant to their respective members. This partnership will focus on critical and evolving areas of nuclear security, especially enhancing the cybersecurity skills of professionals in the industry.

About the NIA

The NIA is the trade association for the UK’s civil nuclear industry. It has more than 300 member companies operating across the UK’s nuclear supply chain.
