Partnership for Nuclear Security (PNS) – Program Coordinator

The Department of State’s Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction (ISN/CTR) funds, manages and implements the Partnership for Nuclear Security (PNS) program to mitigate evolving security threats.  PNS seeks to promote nuclear security in partner countries to mitigate the risk that an insider could divert nuclear material, technology, or expertise.  Specifically, PNS supports training programs focused on human reliability programs (HRP) and insider threat mitigation, applied nuclear security culture in technical operations, and incorporation of nuclear security into workforce training programs.

Geographically, PNS engagement efforts focus in the Middle East, Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and Latin America.  PNS engages technical organization decision makers, government operators and regulators, and security services through a collaborative process with the U.S. and international technical community.

PNS seeks to identify a Program Coordinator who will serve as an on-site contractor at the Department of State.  Job duties will include developing, implementing and coordinating PNS efforts and will contribute to U.S. objectives pertaining to global nuclear security, threat reduction and nonproliferation.  The candidate will work closely with counterparts in foreign governments to devise and execute program activities.
