June 2016 Membership Survey – Security Investment Decisions

Since 9/11, organisations have invested considerable time and money on upgrading security arrangements to meet more stringent requirements and the threat of terrorism. As a consequence, the cost of security has increased significantly, both in terms of capital investment and as a percentage of operating expenditure. An important question is how organisations make decisions about security expenditure; how do they assess the cost benefits of their investments and what methodologies do they use?

To address these questions, WINS has released the Security Investment Decisions survey. The purpose of this survey is to collect unclassified information that will help to inform research about security investment decisions within those sectors that use nuclear and other radioactive materials. Your answers will assist us in providing resources for industry leaders to help make better investment decisions in the future. Your contribution is therefore essential. There are 18 questions in this survey, which should take you about 10 minutes to answer. You can access the survey by clicking here.

The survey is completely anonymous. The results of this survey will be aggregated into overall trends, and the aggregated results of the survey will be shared with all WINS members in due course.

Please note that this survey will remain open until July 10, 2016. Do not hesitate to contact us at info@wins.org, should you have any questions or concerns.
