WINS Conducts Virtual Course on Transport Security Planning for Radioactive Material Movement

WINS congratulates the 20 participants who completed our virtual course on Transport Security Planning for Radioactive Material Movement!

The course covered the topics related to developing a transportation security plan as well as reviewing the recommendations for each section of a transport security plan from the IAEA Nuclear Security Series No. 9: Security in the Transport of Radioactive Material.

“This course was a stepping stone in the development of skills that help to support sustainable radioactive source security competence in Thailand,” WINS Programme Manager Raquel Delgado said.

We would like to thank our expert instructors from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Kenny Self and Gary Smith.

The course, held for WINS Academy Alumni and current learners in Thailand, was part of a joint collaboration project between WINS, Global Affairs Canada and Thailand’s Office of Atoms for Peace for the Development of Sustainable Nuclear Security Training in Thailand. We would also like to thank Global Affairs Canada and the Office of Atoms for Peace for their support.
