WINS at the 56th Annual Meeting of the INMM

From July 12th to 16th, WINS participated in the 56th Annual Meeting of the Institute for Nuclear Materials Management (INMM), which took place in Indian Wells, California, United States.

WINS presented two papers on the benefits of certification for nuclear securiy professionals. The first presentation detailed how ISO certification can be used as a framework for standardised nuclear security training, while the second presentation focused on how to measure the impact of nuclear security training. Both presentations included case studies build upon the experience and lessons learned from implementing certification under the WINS Academy programmes.

Finally, Daniel Johnson, WINS Academy Manager, together with Carla Boyce, Director of the National Exercises Division at the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and Rob Anderson, Counselor for Political Affairs at the Royal Netherlands Embassy, participated in a panel session on Exercise— Not Just For the Gym: How to Strengthen Your Organization’s Muscles Through Tabletop and Other Real World Exercises conducted during the Closing Plenary session.
