INMM Vulnerability Assessment Tools Workshop [External event]

On September 14-16, 2015, the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM) is organising a workshop on Vulnerability Assessment Tools.

There is an increasing interest by government and industry to take advantage of computer tools to support regulation, training and management. This interest is expanding into nuclear security, as well as other elements of critical infrastructure security. There is always a desire to have a tool that does everything. However, the ultimate tool rarely exists. In this workshop, participants will have an opportunity to leverage what has been learned in the worlds of safety and commercial simulation. Participants will learn of the evolution of vulnerability assessment tools used in nuclear security. This workshop will help the nuclear industry and government regulators better understand what the tools can do and how they might be used in a regulatory environment. The workshop will also benefit the vendor/developer community by providing a better understanding of the needs of their customers and what level of understanding is sufficient to meet the requirements of regulators.
