Helping licensees assess the maturity of their security programme and measure their security culture effectiveness.
Digital technologies are now integrated into nearly all aspects of nuclear facility operations. Digital systems are incorporated into everything from business systems to nuclear safety and security systems. This growing dependence on digital systems brings an ever-increasing need to implement strong defence measures to protect them from compromise. Adversaries now exploit automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) to orchestrate highly targeted, fast-moving attacks across global networks.
Along with physical protection, cybersecurity is a crucial part of the overall security strategy at nuclear facilities. WINS’ Cybersecurity in the Nuclear Industry course provides the practical knowledge and strategic insights professionals need to protect critical nuclear infrastructure.
This comprehensive five-day training course is designed to equip nuclear industry professionals with the latest expertise and practical tools for developing and managing robust cybersecurity programmes. Covering data security, information technology (IT), and operational technology (OT), this course blends operational experience with cutting-edge best practices to ensure the effective implementation of cybersecurity within nuclear facilities.
The course material focuses specifically on the nuclear industry and is continuously updated by industry-leading instructors who bring real-world experience to the classroom, ensuring you receive the latest strategies, insights, and best practices in this fast-moving field. This dynamic course combines 60% lecture with 40% practical exercises, creating an immersive learning environment where theory meets real-world application.
Upon completion, participants will be prepared to sit the exam for WINS Academy Nuclear Security Professional Certification with a specialisation in cybersecurity. Delegates will be offered the opportunity to access the WINS Academy Cybersecurity in the Nuclear Industry online course materials and to take the certification exam at a Pearson Vue Test Centre or OnVUE online proctored exam.
This training is designed for individuals responsible for the operation of IT and OT systems and equipment who need a better understanding and ability to manage cybersecurity to protect nuclear assets from potential cyberthreats.
