Description

With over 20 years of experience with NB Power at the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, I am an accomplished and dedicated nuclear professional currently supporting the Station's security program and operations as Sergeant assigned to days. As a member of the Station's Nuclear Response Team, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while ensuring the safety and security of the facility. Throughout my career, I have held various roles within the Nuclear Response Team, including Front Line Officer and Shift Sergeant. These positions have equipped me with extensive knowledge of nuclear protocols, emergency response procedures, and team leadership. My commitment to EXCELLENCe and my strong work ethic have been recognized, earning me the responsibility of overseeing critical operations. As a Certified Nuclear Security Professional and Radioactive Source Security Professional, I possess the necessary qualifications and expertise to handle complex security challenges in the nuclear industry. Furthermore, I have been honored to serve as Canada's only Ambassador for the World Institute for Nuclear Security's Academy, further advancing my commitment to global nuclear security standards and best practices. In addition to my nuclear expertise, I have also been serving as an Auxiliary Police Officer (Constable) with the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force for the past 18 years. This dual role has allowed me to apply my expertise in law enforcement to complement my responsibilities in the nuclear industry, further enhancing my ability to ensure the safety and well-being of both the community and the nuclear facility. I take great pride in my ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to achieve common objectives. My adaptability, attention to detail, and quick decision-making skills have been key assets in successfully navigating complex and dynamic situations. As I continue to contribute to the safety and security of the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station, I am eager to leverage my extensive experience and expertise to make a lasting impact within the nuclear energy industry. I am driven by a strong sense of duty, a passion for continuous learning, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and security.
