About Santiago Javier

I am a security professional with over 10 years of experience in the security field. In addition to having a degree in Security, I have Certified Nuclear Security Professional (CNSP) and Security Risk Management Professional (SRMP) credentials, which accredit my knowledge and competence in the physical protection of nuclear materials and facilities, risk assessment, and management. of security in complex and dynamic environments. Currently, I am the Country Nuclear Security Coordinator at the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA), where I lead and supervise the design and implementation of nuclear security plans, programs and projects at the national level, in collaboration with international organizations such as the IAEA and WINS. I am also the Co-Founder of LOICA, an initiative that seeks to disseminate and promote nuclear security culture among young people and the general public, through training, dissemination and awareness activities. My mission is to contribute to the peaceful and safe development of nuclear energy, contributing my experience, passion and commitment to excellence and innovation. I am especially interested in applying new technologies, such as AI, Machine Learning, Block chain and Robotics, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of nuclear security systems. Likewise, I am fascinated by the atomic world and its potential to generate social, environmental and economic benefits. Therefore, I am dedicated to sharing and transmitting my knowledge and enthusiasm as a speaker, facilitator and ambassador for the WINS Academy.

I am a security professional with more than 15 years of experience; trained in crisis situations (hostages, major accidents, riots, terrorism) and in humanitarian policies. I finally found my A-game in nuclear physical protection and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons. In my experience, Patience, Perseverance, and Effort are the greatest requirements to be a helpful ambassador for WINS Academy. I am deeply grateful to WINS for allowing me to develop so many projects that integrated, empowered and, above all, developed professionals from my country. I know that those who will come after me will have the tools that we are fighting for today.
