Resilient Radioactive Source Security during Armed Conflict

This report examines how armed conflict affects the people, processes and systems that support radioactive source security. It then explores how planning and preparedness can be strengthened through a resilience-based approach that emphasises adaptability, agility, redundancy and recovery. Finally, the report addresses response to nuclear security incidents and events during armed conflict, post-conflict recovery and the role of national and international cooperation in supporting the continued security of radioactive sources under conditions of severe disruption brought about by armed conflict.
