WINS and Atom Malaysia have signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate cooperation to promote nuclear security and competence development in the field.
Atom Malaysia Director General Noraishah Pungut and WINS Executive Director Lars van Dassen signed the MoU at the ASEANTOM meeting in Johor, Malaysia.
WINS and Atom Malaysia, the country’s regulatory authority, will work together on nuclear security topics of mutual interest such as transport security management, cybersecurity, radioactive source security management, nuclear security governance, nuclear security incident management, security culture and nuclear security regulation. Our collaboration will also cover nuclear security matters related to nuclear and other radioactive material out of regulatory control and advancing progress toward diversity in the sector.
