World Institute for Nuclear Security

The General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency took place on 14-18 September in Vienna and provided an opportunity to inform delegates and the media of the progress made since WINS was launched at last year’s General Conference. WINS is active in producing easy to understand implementation guides for security, and is involved in regional training in Kazakhstan and China and with other activities in North America, Europe and the Middle East.
 
Of the many visitors to the WINS exhibition booth, WINS was particularly pleased to welcome Thomas D’Agostino, Administrator of the US National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the NNSA Principal Assistant Deputy Administrator for Defense Nuclear Non-proliferation, Ken Baker.
